Ladies’ Indulgence raised £1400

Zig Zag Pre-school raised £1400 from a “Ladies' Indulgence Night”, which was held at the Village Hall on 13th October. It really was a fantastic event and I would like to thank the pre-school committee members and parent volunteers who worked so hard to organise the event as well as the small businesses that attended the evening, helping to make it such a great success.

Zig Zag hosted a Ladies’ Indulgence Night to raise funds for the pre-school. Local beauticians, therapists, hairdressers and retailers set up stalls around the hall and Catton Room and created a relaxed and indulgent atmosphere in which to shop or just drop in for a bit of TLC. There was a wide range of treatments available from manicures and hair styling to Reiki and Holistic therapies.

In the role of 'marketer and fundraiser' for the pre-school I applied my skills to help make sure the event was well planned, advertised locally with attractive posters and that we capitalized on this year's attendance to advance ticket sales the following year. I also organised a raffle licence which allowed us to not only produce printed raffle ticket books (rather than the coloured numbered tickets) but also to pre-sell tickets around and about which increased our fund enormously.

We are all looking forward to our 2010 Ladies' Indulgence Night, which will be bigger, better and twice as indulgent!
